Slide 1

Lily has been created by ex-BBC children's magazine editor Claire Comins. It's a magazine for girls who love being creative on the iPad. Touch the screen and the magazine comes to life with quizzes, music, colouring, videos... and awesome art and animations created by Lily readers. Listen and read

Photostories and book extracts are an important part of Lily. Listen-as-you-read stories are fun for confident readers and great for children learning to read, whether English is their first or second language

Design and colour

Lily encourages girls to be creative with a mix of activities to do on and off the iPad screen. In the first issue, readers can colour and design a magazine front cover that's just like the real thing!

Print, make, create

Lily is made in London. To celebrate Britain's famous royal family, the first issue includes a fun project to make a doll-size version of the dress Kate Middleton wore for her wedding to Prince William. Click on the picture above to print off the dress templates

Lily is the first app from UK publisher Kidscontent Ltd. Just like a magazine, Lily is full of stories, quizzes and activities. But as it's an app, there's plenty of interactivity with videos and music to tap into too. Just what busy girls have been waiting for! Claire Comins, Editor, Lily
